Justin Andrew Bethel (* 17th June 1990 in Sumter , South Carolina ) is an American American football poker players. He currently plays the cornerback position for the New England Patriots in the National Football League (NFL). Bethel made a name for itself in its football career as an outstanding special teams player and was therefore elected three times to the Pro Bowl .

college

Bethel played as cornerback at Presbyterian College for 4 years . Presbyterian is a very small college that is unknown in the field of sports. With his selection in the NFL Draft , Bethel became the first player since 1969 to be selected by Presbyterian College in the draft.

NFL

Arizona Cardinals

Bethel was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 6th round of the 2012 NFL Draft . He signed a four-year contract for 2.21 million US dollars for the Cardinals. Before the contract expired, the Cardinals extended it and offered him a three-year contract for $ 15 million, which Bethel accepted. After the contract expired, it was not renewed and Bethel became a free agent . Because of his services in the Cardinals Special Team , Bethel was elected to the Pro Bowl for his achievements in the 2013 , 2014 and 2015 seasons .

Atlanta Falcons

Bethel joined the Atlanta Falcons for one year in 2018 .

Baltimore Ravens

Prior to the 2019 season , Bethel signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens . However, in week 7 of the first year of the contract, the Ravens fired Bethel. However, this had less to do with his playful performance, with 6 tackles Bethel led the special team of the Ravens, but with the goal of the Ravens to qualify for a compensatory pick in the 4th round of the NFL Draft 2020 by firing.

New England Patriots

Shortly after his release from the Baltimore Ravens, the New England Patriots signed Bethel.
