Claudio Brook

Claudio Brook (actually Claudio Brook Marnat ; born August 28, 1927 in Mexico City , † October 18, 1995 there ) was a Mexican actor .

Life

Brook was employed at the British Embassy in Mexico at a young age , playing top division football for Club de Fútbol Atlante . Then he came to acting through dubbing. In addition to numerous entertainment films he shot with Luis Buñuel ; He lived for some time in France , where he was best known for his role as "Peter Cunningham" in the film The Great Sause (La grande vadrouille) by Gérard Oury (1966). Further comedies with Louis de Funès , Jean Gabin and Mireille Darc emerged. In the 1980s he became the star of several television soaps and was in demand as a spokesperson for advertising trailers. Brook was also seen in the theater. In the mid-1990s, his health deteriorated so that he was no longer able to work. He died of stomach cancer in 1995 in a Mexican hospital .
