La vida de nuestro señor Jesucristo is a Mexican feature film by Miguel Zacarías from the year 1986 . The film deals with the life of Jesus Christ . It first aired in Mexico in 1986.

God created Adam and Eve in his own image in the garden of Eden . But after they have tasted the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge , they are driven out of paradise.
In order to free people from the original sin associated with it, he sends them his Son Jesus Christ as Savior. An angel appears to his mother Mary and prophesies that she will give birth to a son. When Emperor Augustus had a census carried out, pregnant Mary and her fiancé Joseph of Nazareth traveled to Bethlehem . Since they can no longer find a place in the hostel, they are accommodated in a stable with a crib.
Jesus is born and is visited by nearby shepherds who worship him after an angel announced the birth of the Messiah . The prophets Simeon and Hannah recognize the Messiah in the newborn. At the same time Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar, three wise men from the Orient , also travel to Bethlehem guided by a star , pay homage to Jesus and give him gold, frankincense and myrrh . They prophesy Mary Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross .
As a toddler, Jesus experienced everyday life under the Roman occupation, made friends with John , the son of Mary's relative Elizabeth , and performed his first miracles. Meanwhile, in order to get the prophesied king out of the way, the restless Herod orders that all male children up to the age of three be killed at a festival for children . However, Mary manages to flee with Jesus. At the same time, an angel instructs Joseph to flee to Egypt with Mary and Jesus.
In Egypt, Jesus befriends the dog Amroth. Joseph refuses the order to make a cross for a criminal. He and Maria decide to return to Nazareth. Jesus grows up, works with his dog Amroth and learns to be a carpenter.
On a pilgrimage with the twelve-year-old Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem during the feast of Passover , he stands out for his wise words. While Mary and Joseph are on their way home with John, Jesus remains behind and discusses with the high priests. On the way, Mary and Joseph notice the absence of Jesus, turn around and finally find him in a conversation with the high priests in the temple. In response to Mary's reproaches, Jesus replies that he was in his father's temple.
Many years later, the adult John acts as a Baptist . Jesus comes to John to be baptized by him. After his baptism, Jesus spends 40 days and nights fasting in the desert and is tempted by Satan .
Meanwhile, John is arrested for rioting among the people. When he blames Herod Antipas for marrying his late brother's wife, he is thrown into dungeon. Impressed by the dancing skills of his stepdaughter Salome , Herod Antipas fulfills her wish for the head of John and has the Baptist executed.
In the meantime, Jesus gathers Andrew , Simon Peter , John and James the Elder , Philip , Bartholomew , Matthew and Judas Iscariot as disciples around him. At the wedding in Cana, when the wine supply ran out, Jesus turned water into wine at his mother's request for help. A little later he heals a man possessed and a sick man, has to deal with the high priests when he heals a blind man on the Sabbath , comforts a mother by bringing her recently deceased son back to life, saves an adulteress from stoning , and heals a paralyzed man in Bethesda , on the Sea of Galilee, feeds thousands of people through the multiplication of bread , gives the Sermon on the Mount and raises his deceased friend Lazarus from the dead.
After entering Jerusalem , he drives the traders out of the temple and thus incurs the wrath of the high priests. Shortly afterwards he brings Jairus' deceased daughter back to life. After Jesus describes the high priests as hypocrites, they decide to kill Jesus.
During the Last Supper , Jesus is betrayed by Judas Iscariot for 30 pieces of silver. Jesus prophesies that Simon Peter will deny him three times. In the garden of Gethsemane , Jesus waits together with the disciples for the thieves and betrayed by Judas with a kiss . Governor Pontius Pilate finds no guilt in him; Herod Antipas expresses his contempt for Jesus. Jesus is scourged by the soldiers. The people demand that Pilate release the criminal Barabbas instead of Jesus . Pilate condemns Jesus to be crucified .
During the Way of the Cross and Jesus' crucifixion, Judas repented of his betrayal and threw the pieces of silver into the temple. After Jesus' resurrection , disciple Thomas doubts and only believes when Jesus appears to the disciples. After Jesus prays the Our Father with the disciples , they become witnesses of Jesus' ascension to heaven .
