Claus-Dieter Bandorf

Claus-Dieter Bandorf (* 1973 in Schweinfurt ) is a German jazz pianist and répétiteur.

Career

Bandorf studied jazz piano at the Hermann Zilcher Conservatory in Würzburg . He later completed his training at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin . During his studies he was a member of the Bavarian State Youth Jazz Orchestra, Bavarian First Herd , and was on tour with the Federal Jazz Orchestra in South Africa. After his training, Bandorf worked both at home and abroad, initially in Marc Secara's band . In 2003 he toured Europe for the first time as the pianist of the New York Voices , with whom he performed at the 2008 North Sea Jazz Festival . Between 2003 and 2008 he was the pianist and répétiteur of the Brandenburg youth jazz choir Young Voices , with whom the album Sing (2005) was created. With the Berlin Jazz Orchestra he accompanied Manfred Krug and Uschi Brüning throughout Germany . With Esther Kaiser he released the album Sternklar in 2012 on the HGBS label .

Since 2002 Bandorf has been teaching jazz piano and accompaniment at the Hanns-Eisler University of Music; He is also a research assistant at the SRH University of Popular Arts for piano / keyboards and ensemble.
