Claus-Erich Weiss

Claus-Erich Weiß (born March 27, 1933 in Hamburg ) is a German lecturer and former member of the Hamburg Parliament for the SPD .

Live and act

Claus-Erich Weiß is the son of a teacher couple. He studied law in Hamburg and - with a Fulbright scholarship - political science in Amherst (Massachusetts) . In 1958 he passed his first state examination. He became a member of the SPD.

In 1962 and 1963 he worked as managing director of the Association Worldwide Partnership . He then worked as a freelancer, mainly in the field of political adult education. In this context, he traveled to Israel , India , Poland and the Soviet Union, among others .

In 1975 he took part in the organization of a privately launched medical aid for Angolan refugees.

From 1978 to 1982 Claus-Erich Weiß was a member of the Hamburg Parliament. He received the mandate to replace an incumbent senator and was a member of the SPD parliamentary group. White mainly worked on the Interior Committee and the Health Committee.

Weiß is married and has three sons.
