Claus Vogler (born January 25, 1943 ) is a former German soccer player . At Hamburger SV , he played four league games in the Bundesliga in the 1963/64 season and scored one goal.

Career

Vogler played in the youth team of Hamburger SV and took part in the 1961 UEFA youth tournament in Portugal under the then DFB coach Helmut Schön . In the 2-1 success on April 8 in Lisbon in the game for third place against Spain, he played in the German attack alongside Wolfgang Overath , Rainer Waberski , Gerhard Elfert and Horst Wild . In the first season of the newly introduced single-track Bundesliga, 1963/64, he made his debut in the professional team. Under coach Martin Wilke he came on the 25th match day, March 21, 1964, in the game against Meidericher SV in the World Cup system at that time as a half-left. Horst Gecks had brought the "Zebras" into the lead with three hits and Vogler immediately scored the 1: 3. In the 89th minute, left winger Gert Dörfel managed to equalize to make it 3: 3. In April 1964, the playmaker's talent was also used in the two cup games against SpVgg Fürth. The home game ended 1: 1 nV, in the second leg the "Kleeblatt-Elf" prevailed 2: 1 after extra time. Vogler had always played as a half-forward on the side of national center forward Uwe Seeler . He completed three more Bundesliga games, but then could not prevail and was still used in the amateur team. After disputes with coach Georg Gawliczek , he moved to Concordia Hamburg in November 1966 .

Under his former HSV coach Martin Wilke, Vogler made his debut on August 14, 1966 in a 1-1 home draw against Göttingen 05 in the Red-Black league from the Marienthal stadium. He developed into a playmaker with scoring qualities and scored 15 goals for “Cordi” in 29 games. The team from Wandsbek, with teammates such as Edgar Puchmüller, Heiner Castorff, the later Regionalliga-Nord (312-62) Horst Engel and Werner Bayerl den sixth rank. For Concordia Hamburg he came between 1966 and 1970 and in the 1973/74 season to 110 missions in the then second -rate regional football league in which he scored 31 goals. After relegation in 1969/70 he continued to play for "Cordi" and reached after the runner- up in 1973/73 in the Landesliga Hamburg - the decider was lost against VfL Pinneberg tied on May 6, 1973 with 0-2 - for the last season of the old second-rate Regionalliga Nord the return to the second division. In the promotion round Vogler had prevailed with his team against Union Salzgitter, Flensburger SV and VfB Peine. He ran again in the regional league in the three games against Göttingen 05, Barmbek-Uhlenhorst and Olympia Wilhelmshaven and then ended his football career.
