history
Client started in 2001 as a duo consisting of Kate Holmes (aka "Client A", ex-Technique) and Sarah Blackwood (aka "Client B", ex- Dubstar ). At the end of 2005, the duo became a trio: Emily Mann joined the band as bassist under the name Emily Strange (aka Client E). In 2007 they were supported by Robert Görl ( DAF ) on the drumpad and the fad gadget guitarist Günther Bernhard. Client E left the company in 2007. Live the band is supported by a changing third member Client C (aka Charlotte Hatherley, ex Ash) Client M (alias Mush) or Client R (alias Ruth).
Client first became known when they appeared in 2001 alongside Fad Gadget in the opening act for Depeche Mode . Depeche Mode keyboardist Andrew Fletcher signed them to his Toast Hawaii label . In 2005 they were support for Erasure .
Clients are characterized by their lively club and concert activity. With Radio , Pornography and In It For The Money they already had three chart entries in the British charts. In 2007, Drive made it into the German charts as the first client single.
