Cliff Potts

Cliff Potts (born January 5, 1942 in Glendale , California , USA; actually Cliff Potter ) is an American actor .

Cliff Potts played from 1967 initially minor supporting roles in television series such as The People of Shiloh Ranch , before he got a role in the 1969 western His Name Was Gannon by director Josef Leytes . In 1970 he starred in Paul Newman's drama They Want To Be Giants . After a few other roles in television series, Potts appeared in the science fiction film Silent in Space in his most famous role as astronaut John Keenan in 1972 .

One of his few leading roles played Potts in the western Cry for Me Billy , an independent film by director William A. Graham . In 1983 he starred alongside Brooke Shields and John Rhys-Davies in the adventure film Sahara . In addition to cinema roles, he made guest appearances in numerous television series such as Lou Grant , Dallas , Hotel , MacGyver , Mord ist ihr Hobby and Spaceship Enterprise - The Next Century until the 1990s . In 1999 he played a small role in Crash Dive II . In the new millennium, Potts (as of 2020) has only been involved in two less-noticed film productions.
