features

The moths have a wingspan of 8.5 millimeters. The forehead ( frons ) and crown ( vertex ) are shiny white. The neck tuft also shines white and is sometimes tinted gray in the middle. The neck collar is mixed with white and gray.

The labial palps are white. The first segment is very short and brown on the outside. The second segment is one and a half times as long as the third, the basal half is gray-brown on the outside. The third segment is gray-brown outside in the first third.

The base of the antennae is white to brownish gray and has a white apical ring. Ventrally it is white. The antennae are curled creamy white and sometimes indistinct ocher. In front of the tip are three dark brown sections made up of four segments, each separated by five cream-white segments. The tip of the antennae is creamy white. The thorax shines white and is speckled in the front third with dark gray-brown scales . The tegulae shine white and are dark gray-brown in front.

The forelegs are dark brownish gray, the inner surfaces of the tibia and the first tarsi are white. The first two segments of the tarsi have white apical rings, the fifth segment is completely white. The middle pair of legs is white. In the middle of the tibia there is a very oblique, dark gray-brown line. The first tarsal segment has a large, dark gray-brown spot dorsally in the middle. The second segment is in the apical half, segments four and five are a total of dark gray-brown. The hind legs are colored just like the middle legs, the spurs are white.

The forewings shine white and have a broad, dark gray-brown costal line that extends from the base to 2/5 of the forewing length. Then it continues subdorsally up to 2/3 of the fore wing length. A narrow, dark gray-brown subdorsal line begins at the base of the wing and extends beyond the middle. He is often interrupted. A narrow, irregular, dark gray-brown line is in the middle of the last third. This extends into the fringed scales, inside it is sometimes connected with the costal line. The fringed scales shine white and have a short dark gray-brown line dorsally at the apex . The hind wings are grayish white and have white shiny fringed scales. The undersides of the forewings are brownish gray and darker on the Costa loader. A dark line is clearly visible on the fringed scales. The undersides of the hind wings shine gray-white. The abdomen is shiny white dorsally and ventrally. The anus tuft also shines white.

In the males, the right and left brachium are fused into a broad uncus . The right brachium is still recognizable in the form of a hook-shaped tip, while the left can only be identified as a sclerotized groin. The tegumen is slender and quite long. The anellus lobes are long, slender, and curved in the middle. The blades gradually widen from the narrowest point in the middle to a distally rounded cucullus. The aedeagus is short and tubular. At the base it is wider and curved downwards. The cecum has two lip-shaped protrusions.
