Cockrell Hill is a city in Dallas County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

geography

The city is located in the west of the county, in the central northeast of Texas, is in the north about 100 km from Oklahoma and has a total area of ​​1.5 km² without any significant water surface.

history

The city was named after Brentwood Allen Cockrell and his son or after Wesley Cockrell and his cousin Alexander Cockrell, all pioneers in this area. The then name Cockrell Place as a stop was known among travelers and the carriage line ran from Dallas to Fort Belknap and El Paso .
