Colby Stevenson (born October 3, 1997 in Portsmouth ) is an American freestyle skier . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Stevenson has been participating in FIS and AFP World Tour competitions since 2011 . He achieved his first podium finish in January 2012 at the USSA Revolution Tour in North Star with second place in the halfpipe and in the following month won his first victories in the USSA Revolution Tour in Otsego in slopestyle and in the halfpipe. He made his World Cup debut in November 2011 in Copper Mountain and finished 65th in the halfpipe. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he won 25th place in Slopestyle. In the 2012/13 season he won the halfpipe of the USSA Revolution Tour in Seven Springs . He also took third place in slopestyle at The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series in Northstar and second place in slopestyle at the USSA Revolution Tour in North Star and in the halfpipe in Sun Valley . In April 2014 he won the national championships in slopestyle and took second place in the halfpipe. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, he came third in the slopestyle and second in the halfpipe on the USSA Revolution Tour in Copper Mountain . At the season highlight of the 2015 Freestyle Skiing World Championships on Kreischberg , he finished eighth in slopestyle. This was followed by second place in the halfpipe and in the big air competition on the USSA Revolution Tour in Mammoth . In January 2017 he won his first World Cup victory in slopestyle on the Alpe di Siusi . In November 2017, he came third in the Slopestyle World Cup in Stubai .
