Colin Wells (born September 11, 1963 in England ) is a British actor .

Life

Wells didn't decide to pursue an acting career until he was 27. He initially had guest roles on television series such as Cheers and Mr. Bean . He received his first major role in 1999 in the Shakespeare - literary film adaptation of Titus . In the same year he played one of the leading roles in the British television series The Professionals - The Next Generation , an adaptation of the series The Professionals . This made him known in Germany, but the series was discontinued after only one season of 13 episodes. Between 2001 and 2002 he played in the ITV - soap opera Crossroads , then he moved to Channel 4 -Seifenoper Hollyoaks . Between 2005 and 2010 he had a recurring role in the doctor series Casualty .

Wells is married to actress Joanna MacLeod, with whom he has a son and daughter.
