Luigi Sartor (born January 30, 1975 in Treviso ) is a former Italian football player .
In his career, the defender has won the UEFA Cup with three different teams ( Juventus Turin , Inter Milan and AC Parma ). In 1996 he became European champion with the Italian U-21 national team together with players like Gianluigi Buffon , Fabio Cannavaro , Alessandro Nesta , Christian Panucci and Francesco Totti , in this team he was a regular player in defense. Sartor also played two games for the senior Italian team.
Career
Luigi Sartor began his professional career at Juventus Turin , where he won the UEFA Cup in 1992/93 . He was then loaned to AC Reggiana and then sold to Vicenza Calcio . In 1996 he was under Cesare Maldini with Italy U-21 European champion and in 1997 he won the Coppa Italia with Vicenza. After the cup triumph, Sartor moved to Inter Milan where he was able to win the UEFA Cup again in 1997/98 . The year 1998/99 was the most successful of his career, he won the UEFA Cup, the Italian Super Cup and the Italian Cup with AC Parma . His last success was winning the Coppa Italia, the Italian Cup, in 2002 with Parma. He then played at AS Roma , AC Ancona , CFC Genoa , FC Sopron , Hellas Verona and Ternana Calcio , where he ended his career.
