The members & the foundation
Indira (until 2017)
Indira (Ira) Vladić-Mujkić was the band's singer and front woman until March 2017 . She was born on September 15, 1973 in Županja . At the age of nine, Indira attended the “Srećko Albini” music school in Županja. She stayed there for six years.
At the age of twelve she became a member of the Županja Orchestra, in which she played the clarinet for thirteen years. From autumn 1993 Indira worked in the State Chancellery of Županja.
When Indira got to know Boris and he discovered her talent, he offered her the position of front woman and singer of the then unknown and unnamed band.
Boris
Boris Đurđević, born on February 15, 1973 in Vinkovci, is the author of all of Colonia's texts and melodies. Together with Tomislav he is the producer of the group.
Boris founded a rap band during his school days in which he wrote his first songs. In the early 1990s, Boris re-founded a band with which he sent demo tapes to various record companies. The band only got rejections because they relied on a disco sound that was going out of fashion at the time.
In 1993 Boris returned to Vinkovci, where he got a position as a presenter at the radio station VFM and also worked as a DJ and producer. Through his activities he got to know Tomislav and Indira and formed a new band with them.
In the CBS studio ( Crno Bijeli Svijet , record company) the three record their first single "Nek vatre gore sve", which was played on many Croatian radio stations. Through this success, Indira, Boris and Tomislav received their first record deal with CBS .
Tomislav
Tomislav Jelić, alias DJ Kameni, (born May 2, 1973 in Vinkovci) lived in what was then the village, today the city of Otok (Vinkovci) near Vinkovci and is the producer and manager of Colonia. For several years he worked as a DJ in various clubs and discos as well as at the radio station VFM, where he met Boris and Indira.
