Colpy is a hamlet in the Scottish council area of Aberdeenshire . It is located on the creek of the same name, which joins the Urie directly to the east . In the northeast, Kirkton of Culsalmond is the next hamlet directly adjacent. There are two Cairns in the Colpy area .

Colpy is located directly on the A96 , which connects Inverness, around 95 km north-west, with Aberdeen , around 40 km south-east . Furthermore, the A920 coming from Ellon joins the A96 in Colpy and ends there. The closest city is about twelve kilometers northwest of Huntly .
