The Como Pre-Alps are subsection 11.I of the SOIUSA categorization and belong to the Lugano Pre-Alps section . The highest mountain is the Pizzo di Gino , which reaches 2245 m slm . They are located in Italy in the province of Como and in Switzerland in the canton of Ticino .
Limits
They border:
- to the north on the Adula Alps , bounded by the San Jorio Pass ;
- in the east on the Bergamasque Pre-Alps bordered by Lake Como ;
- in the south of the Po Valley ;
- bounded in the west by the Varese pre-Alps by Monte Ceneri .
