Commission scolaire de Montréal
The Commission scolaire de Montréal (CSDM) is a state school authority in the Canadian province of Québec . She is responsible for organizing French-language schooling in the center of the Montreal administrative region.

On July 1, 1998, as part of the secular school reform in Québec, the CSDM was founded. With this reform, the previously denominationally separate school authorities were dissolved and replaced by new ones, which are defined according to linguistic and geographical criteria. The CSDM replaced the Commission des écoles catholiques de Montréal founded in 1846 and the francophone part of the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal founded in 1951 .
The CSDM operates 123 primary schools, 26 secondary schools, two special schools, nine vocational schools and 15 institutions for adult education. 16,000 employees look after around 110,000 students, 70,000 of them in the compulsory levels. 21 school councils, elected by the residents of the supervised area, oversee the school board, with seven councils having executive functions.
