Lester B. Pearson School Board
The Lester B. Pearson School Board (LBPSB, French Commission scolaire Lester-B.-Pearson ) is a state school board in the Canadian province of Québec . She is responsible for the organization of English-language school teaching in the west of the administrative region of Montreal and in adjacent areas. It is named after the former Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson .

On July 1, 1998, the EMSB was founded as part of the secular school reform in Québec. With this reform, the previously denominationally separate school authorities were dissolved and replaced by new ones, which are defined according to linguistic and geographical criteria.
The LBPSB oversees 39 primary schools, twelve secondary schools, four vocational schools and two adult education institutions. 4,000 employees look after around 28,000 students. 21 school councils, elected by the residents of the supervised area, oversee the school board, with three councils having executive functions.
