The Communauté de communes Paimpol Goëlo is a former French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Département Côtes-d'Armor , whose administrative seat was in Plourivo . Its catchment area was in the north of the department. The community association founded on December 23, 1996 consisted of nine communities and had 18,953 inhabitants (as of 2013) on an area of ​​129.2 km ² .

Tasks of the community association

Since the majority of the municipalities were very small and had mayors (maires) as a secondary office, the communauté was responsible for various tasks of the municipalities involved. There were departments led by the president and vice-presidents of the community association (environmental protection and nature; spatial planning, land acquisition and inter-community relations; drinking water, inheritance, energy saving; children, youth, sport, employment; finance and community use; sewage disposal and environmental quality; tourism; economic development ; Culture; club life), which performed supra-community tasks.

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

and so formed the successor organization Guingamp Paimpol Armor Argoat Agglomération .

The Communauté de communes Paimpol Goëlo belonged to nine municipalities in two cantons. With the exception of the commune of Île-de-Bréhat, this included all communes in the canton of Paimpol and three communes in the canton of Plouha . The member communities were:
