Ploubazlanec ( Breton Plaeraneg ) is a French municipality with 3014 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Guingamp and is part of the canton of Paimpol . The inhabitants are called Ploubazlanecains .
geography
Ploubazlanec is located on the Channel coast with about 19 kilometers of coastline on a peninsula. Here the Trieux flows into the English Channel . Ploubazlanec is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Île-de-Bréhat in the north in the canal, to which there is also a ship connection from the district of L'Arcouest, Paimpol in the south and Lézardrieux in the west.
The Île Saint-Riom in the east also belongs to the municipality .
The former Route nationale 786 runs through the municipality .
