Gouarec ( Breton Gwareg ) is a French municipality with 925 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Guingamp and the canton of Rostrenen . In addition, the place is a member of the community association Kreiz-Breizh founded in 1993 . The inhabitants are called Gouarécains / Gouarécaines .

Gouarec is located about 44 kilometers southwest of Saint-Brieuc in the southwest of the Côtes-d'Armor department.
