Plouézec ( Breton Ploueg-ar-Mor ) is a French municipality with 3014 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Guingamp and is part of the canton of Paimpol . The inhabitants are called Plouézecain (es) .

geography

Plouézec is located on the canal coast that borders the municipality to the north and east. Upstream are the two islands of Petit Mez du Goëlo and Grand Mez du Goëlo . Plouézec is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Plouha and Lanloup in the south-east, Pléhédel in the south, Yvias in the south-west, Kerfot in the west and Paimpol in the north-west.

The former Route nationale 786 runs through the municipality .
