Saint-Nicolas-du-Pélem ( Breton : Sant-Nicolaz-ar-Pelem ) is a French commune with 1,666 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Guingamp , to the canton of Rostrenen (until 2015: canton of Saint-Nicolas-du-Pélem ) and is a member of the local authority association Kreiz-Breizh .
geography
Saint-Nicolas-du-Pélem is about 27 kilometers south of Guingamp . The river Blavet limits the municipality to the west, the municipality is crossed by its tributary Sulon . Saint-Nicolas-du-Pélem is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Lanrivain in the north and north-west, Kerpert in the north and north-east, Canihuel in the east, Saint-Igeaux in the south and south-east, Sainte-Tréphine in the south and Plounévez-Quintin in the west and south-west.
The former route nationale 790 (today's D790) runs through the municipality .
