It was founded on December 28, 2001 and comprised 13 parishes. The administrative seat was in the place Évaux-les-Bains .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes Pays de Boussac, Carrefour des Quatre Provinces, Évaux-les-Bains / Chambon-sur-Voueize .
