The Communauté de communes de la Région de Châteauneuf is a former French association of municipalities (with the legal form of a Communauté de communes ) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on December 29, 1995 and comprised 18 parishes. The administrative seat was in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

and thus formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération du Grand Cognac . At the same time, the municipalities of Malaville, Tonzac, Éraville, Nonaville and Viville merged to form Commune nouvelle Bellevigne .
