The Communauté de communes du Gennois is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It was founded on December 28, 1994 and comprised four parishes. The administrative seat was in Gennes-Val-de-Loire .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

with the simultaneous formation of the Commune nouvelle Doué-en-Anjou . This created the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération Saumur Val de Loire . On this occasion, the municipalities of Coutures and Chemellier moved to the Communauté de communes Loire Layon Aubance , where they were connected to the Commune nouvelle Brissac-Loire-Aubance .
