The Communauté de communes du Pays de Lourdes is a former French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitania region . It was founded on January 1, 2014 and comprised 18 parishes. The administrative seat was in the pilgrimage site of Lourdes .

Historical development

The community association, originally founded in 2002 under the same name, was re-established in 2014 with the addition of further communities.

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

  • Community of agglomeration of the Grand Tarbes ,
  • Communauté de communes du Canton d'Ossun ,
  • Communauté de communes Bigorre-Adour-Échez ,
  • Communauté de communes du Montaigu ,
  • Communauté de communes Batsurguère and
  • Communauté de communes Gespe Adour Alaric

and thus formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées .
