Parish Church of Saint-Caprais

She is the St. Caprasius , who is said to have been Bishop of Agen in early Christian times . The church has a slate- covered bell gable (clocher mur) from the 18th century. Its single nave nave and its two side chapels with flat apses were newly gilded in 1864. The altarpiece on a sky-blue background dates from the 18th century and, together with the altar table in Romanesque style, is attributed to the workshop of Dominique Ferrère. It shows a representation of St. Caprasius, who is framed by two angels and four serpent columns made of imitation marble . The central part is covered by a small dome . The tabernacle was created by Cazaux d'Asté in 1737. It is framed by worshiping angels on both sides. The side chapels are dedicated to the apostles Peter and Mary and contain small altarpieces from the 18th century. The oil painting above the holy water font , which probably also dates from the 18th century, shows the baptism of Jesus .
