Gavarnie-Gèdre is a commune in the French Pyrenees and Occitania . It belongs to the administrative region of the same name , the Hautes-Pyrénées department , the Argelès-Gazost arrondissement and the canton of La Vallée des Gaves . She borders
- in the south to Spain with Torla-Ordesa , Fanlo and Bielsa ,

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 by merging the previously independent municipalities of Gavarnie and Gèdre .
