Communion - Mass of horror (Original title: Alice, Sweet Alice ) is an American horror film by Alfred Sole from 1976.

action

The film is set in Paterson, New Jersey in the early 1960s. Catherine Spages lives in a rented apartment with her two daughters Karen and Alice, who attend St. Michael's Catholic Parish Girl's School.

Shortly before her holy communion, Karen is killed by a stranger who wears the yellow jacket of the girls' school and hides her face behind a mask. The investigating police officers suspect Karen's aggressive and sneaky sister Alice, who also has a mask and jacket of this type. The girl's parents do not initially believe in their daughter's guilt, but agree to psychological treatment after Catherine's sister was also attacked by the unknown perpetrator and identified her as Alice.

A short time later, Alice's father also becomes a victim of the killer, who now turns out to be Mrs. Tredoni, the housekeeper of Pastor Tom, a good friend of the Spages. Mrs. Tredoni believes Catherine seduced Pastor Tom. She killed Karen because she believed children had to pay for their parents' sins.

After the police identified Mrs. Tredoni as the perpetrator, she flees from the police to a church in which Alice and her mother and Pastor Tom are also staying. When the priest tries in vain to persuade his housekeeper to give up, he is killed by her.
