The Comunità Montana Alta Val Bormida was a Comunità montana in the northern Italian region of Liguria . Politically it belonged to the province of Savona .

A regional law from 2010 abolished the Comunità montane of the Liguria region. The administrative community is in liquidation.

The communities Altare , Bardineto , Bormida , Cairo Montenotte , Calizzano , Carcare , Cengio , Cosseria , Dego , Mallare , Massimino , Millesimo , Murialdo , Osiglia , Pallare , Piana Crixia , Plodio , Roccavignale belonged to the Comunità montana .

The territory of the communal union comprised the upper section of Val Bormida and was composed of the sum of the territories of the individual communes . The seat of administration was Millesimo.
