Mallare (in Ligurian : Màlle ) is a northern Italian municipality with 1081 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Liguria region . Politically it belongs to the province of Savona .

geography

Mallare is located in the upper section of Val Bormida on the river Bormida di Mallare . Nearby is the 956 meter high Monte Alto . The common land is located at an altitude between 401 and 1001 meters. The municipality belongs to the Comunità Montana Alta Val Bormida and is about 22 kilometers from the provincial capital Savona .
