Calice Ligure is located in the hinterland of Finale Ligure , on a fertile plain at the confluence of the Carbuta stream and the Pora river . The municipality belongs to the Comunità Montana Pollupice and is about 30 kilometers from the provincial capital Savona .

By installing a wind turbine with three wind turbines and installing a number of photovoltaic systems , Calice Ligure received the ISO 14000 environmental certificate in 2005 .
