Erli lies in the upper section of the Val Neva , on the left bank of the Neva River . Adjacent to the province of Cuneo , the municipality was formerly a stage destination on the Salt Road . It belongs to the Comunità Montana Ingauna and is about 61 kilometers from the provincial capital Savona .
