Concordia is a city in the south of the Mexican state Sinaloa . It is located at an altitude of 125 m on the highway from Mazatlán to Victoria de Durango , about 25 km west of Mazatlán. The 2010 census counted 8,328 inhabitants. Concordia is the capital of the Municipio Concordia .
The city was founded by the captain Francisco de Ibarra , who originally (1565) gave it the name San Sebastián . The city is known for a furniture factory.
