Conrad Albinus Nervig (born June 24, 1889 in Revillo , Grant County , South Dakota , † November 26, 1980 in San Diego , California ) was an American film editor .

life and work

Conrad A. Nervig has worked as an editor on over 80 films. In 1922 he began working for the Goldwyn Picture Corporation in the field of film editing . He stayed with this studio after the conversion to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1924 and spent most of his career there, which he ended in 1954.

Annoying was the first Oscar winner in the category Best Editing in 1935 for his work on the adventure drama Eskimo by WS Van Dyke . In 1937 he received another nomination for Escape from Paris . Together with Ralph E. Winters , he won a second Oscar for King Solomon's diamonds in 1951 .
