Conrad Seidl
Conrad Seidl (born August 11, 1958 in Vienna ) is an Austrian political editor and publicist.
Life
Seidl was a political journalist for the daily newspaper Kurier from 1983 to 1989 . Then he switched to the standard . In 2005 he was elected to the standard works council and at the same time as a substitute in the presidium of the journalists ' union in the djp (today GPA-DJP ). His mandate was confirmed in 2009, 2014 and 2019.
He has published more than 25 books on social science topics ( The Homo Austriacus in a changed world ), military issues ( Wehrhaftes Österreich ), marketing ( The ICH brand , selling beer , beer business ) and on beer culture ( Conrad Seidl's beer catechism , Bierland Upper Austria , Conrad Seidl's beer guide ). In 2013 he presented the series Bier on Tour with Markus Kavka on the television channel Servus TV . In 2018 the first season of the series Beer-tastic! sent.
In connection with his preoccupation with the subject of beer and brewing culture, Seidl markets himself as the “beer pope”. This also led to his involvement in the music video Beer (Let's Go Punk) by the band Soupshop .
