history

Soupshop was founded by Dino Dinorian (vocals) and Jelio (guitar). Soupshop now consists of Dino Dinorian (vocals), Mini Ze Moocher (saxophone, clarinet, guitar, background vocals), Ill Nino (drums, percussion), Oga Satriani (guitar), Uncle Jacques (bass), Mani Windi (trombone) and Tibor the Piefke (Trumpet).

style

The band's style is called "Glamorous Skunkrock". Skunkrock is a combination of "SKa" and "pUNK". Skunkrock goes further, however, as klezmer, Hungarian and Balkan sounds, reggae and rock also come into play. On the one hand, bands from the Californian ska scene such as Mad Caddies or Reel Big Fish , but also punk bands such as The Clash , Rancid or NOFX up to Gogol Bordello can be rated as role models .

live

Since it was founded, SOUPSHOP has played over 300 concerts all over Europe (Austria, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Denmark, Sweden, England, Wales), from pubs with five guests to major events with over 5000, in front of children, deaf people, Skinheads and other audiences, on big stages and in basement holes, headlining, support and festival shows, among others, in front of and with bands such as Bad Religion , Bloodhound Gang , Jaya the Cat , Red Lights Flash . In addition to festival concerts such as the Sziget Festival in Budapest or the Vienna Danube Island Festival, the band also acted as a live act at some of the largest demonstrations against the Austrian government under Wolfgang Schüssel (2002, 2003, 2004).

In 2013 ¡Muchas Gracias! including single release "Beer (Let's Go Punk)", including video.
