Constantin Pale

Constantin Blaß (born January 14, 1981 in Hagen ) is a German journalist. Since 2017 he has been editor-in-chief of the Kölner Express .

Life

Blaß started with Ruhr Nachrichten Dortmund in 2007 , before working for a year as a project editor for Nordwest-Zeitung in Oldenburg . As Head of Online, he came to General-Anzeiger Bonn in October 2011 and designed the digital conversion there. As Head of Digital Editing, Blaß moved to the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung in Halle in December 2014 , where he was appointed deputy editor-in-chief alongside Hartmut Augustin after a year.

In 2017, the Dumont-Schauberg MDS media group appointed him to succeed Express editor-in-chief Carsten Fiedler . As managing editor-in-chief of DuMont Rheinland Media 24 GmbH, he is involved in the cooperation project between Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger and Express; Since September 2017, both titles have been producing newspapers as well as digital products from a common newsroom .

In the 2018/19 academic year, Blaß held the Karl Büchner visiting professorship at the University of Leipzig together with Julia Bönisch from the Süddeutsche Zeitung . which was extended for him until the winter semester 2021. Pale is married.
