The Cook Summit is a 1590 m high mountain on the Brabant Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It is the highest point in the Solvay Mountains and looms between Galen Peak and Celsus Peak .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1986 after the US polar explorer Frederick Cook (1865-1940), participant of the Belgica expedition (1897-1899) under the direction of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery .
