Cool Waves - Brice de Nice (Original title: Brice de Nice , German Brice from Nice ) is a French film by the director James Huth from 2005 with Jean Dujardin in the leading role.
action
30-year-old Brice is a son by profession and lives in his father's villa in Nice. He regularly gives big parties for supposed friends and, inspired by the film Dangerous Surf , lives for surfing even though there are no waves in Nice. After his father is arrested for money laundering and his property confiscated, Brice has to find a living. However, his attempts to work in a restaurant and rob a bank fail. He gets to know Marius who only has one toe. The two set off for the town of Hossegor to take part in a surfing competition. Brice plans to use the $ 100,000 prize money to support himself and Marius plans to use it to pay for a foot operation. Brice has no chance at the contest, but can finally surf his long-awaited “perfect wave” and meets his female doppelganger Alice de Nice. Marius falls in love with the girl Jeanne, who has huge ears herself, and wants to travel the world with her.
reception
The film had over 4 million admissions in France. However, the reviews were mediocre. On the IMDB it only received 4.8 out of 10 stars.
