Alexandra Paulette Mathilde Lamy (born October 14, 1971 in Alès , Gard ) is a French film and theater actress .

Life

From 1990 Alexandra Lamy took lessons at the Nîmes Conservatory and the Paris Drama School Cours Florent . Then she first appeared in the theater. She had her first film role in 1995 in a commercial by Patrice Leconte . She became known in France through the French adaptation of the Canadian sitcom Un gars, une fille . Lamy and Jean Dujardin played the couple Alexandra (Chouchou) and Jean (Loulou) in scenes from everyday life. Of Un gars, une fille were between 1999 and 2003 on France 2 broadcast a total of 486 episodes.

In 2002 Lamy was together with Steeve de Paz and Jean Dujardin with the title C'est aussi pour ça… qu'on s'aime! represented in the French and Belgian charts. In addition to her film appearances, she continued to play theater, including at the Théâtre de Paris . She also works as a voice actress , including the French voice of Rose McGowan .

Private life

Lamy's sister is the actress and comedian Audrey Lamy . Alexandra Lamy has a daughter (* 1997) from a relationship with the Swiss actor Thomas Jouannet . From 2003 to 2013 Lamy was in a relationship with Jean Dujardin , her film partner in the series Un gars, une fille and the film Brice de Nice . Lamy and Dujardin were married in Anduze on July 25, 2009 . In November 2013 the separation from Jean Dujardin took place. Lamy currently lives in London with her daughter.
