Corbinian Böhm (born August 7, 1966 in Munich ) is a German sculptor .

life and work

Böhm grew up with five siblings in the Harlaching district of Munich . One of his brothers is the extreme mountaineer and skier Benedikt Böhm . He attended the Maria-Theresia-Gymnasium and the Klenze-Gymnasium in Munich and graduated from the Asam-Gymnasium . He then studied art history at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich until 1990 , completed his training as a wood and stone sculptor and studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Hans Ladner , Pia Stadtbäumer , Antony Gormley , Timm Ulrichs , Asta Gröting and Rita McBride . In 2000 he got his diploma as a master student .

Together with Michael Gruber he has been working under the name reception hall since 1995 . He is a lecturer for nude modeling at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
