Pia Stadtbäumer (* 1959 in Münster ) is a German sculptor and installation artist .

Life

Stadtbäumer studied from 1981 to 1988 at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . During this period, she obtained her patent as a master student under Alfonso Hüppi in 1986 . From 1996 to 1997 she lectured as a visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . Since 2000 she has been a professor at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts, where she is also the deputy chairwoman of the art course committee. Stadtbäumer is married to the sculptor Harald Klingelhöller and lives and works in Düsseldorf . Her works enjoy great attention at numerous national and international exhibitions.
