The Cordillera Tajsara o Tarachaca (also: Serranía de Tajsara ) is a high mountain landscape in the southern part of the Bolivian Andes .

The cordillera Tajsara o Tarachaca is a region of mainly north-south running mountain ridges in the southwest region of the Bolivian department Chuquisaca . The mountain range is bounded in the south by the Río Camblaya and in the west by the Río Pilaya and traversed by the Río Pilcomayo in north-south direction , it forms the southern continuation of the Bolivian Cordillera Central .

The highest point of the Cordillera is the Cerro Sipi with a height of 4450  m , most of the mountain ridges only reach heights of about 3000 m.

The Cordillera region is only sparsely populated with around four inhabitants per square kilometer; the only larger town is the rural town of Culpina in the western part of the Cordillera. Administratively, the region belongs to the two districts ( Bolivian : Municipios ) Municipio Culpina (3894 km²) in the province of Sud Cinti and Municipio Huacareta (2922 km²) in the province of Hernando Siles .
