The Municipio Huacareta (completely: San Pablo de Huacareta ) is a district in the Chuquisaca department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Huacareta is one of two municipalities in the province of Hernando Siles and includes its central southern area. It borders the municipality of Monteagudo to the north, the Sud Cinti province to the west, the Tarija department to the south , and the Luis Calvo province to the east .
The municipality extends approximately between 20 ° 06 'and 21 ° 01' south latitude and 63 ° 49 'and 64 ° 15' west longitude, its extent from west to east is up to 45 kilometers, from north to south up to 100 kilometers .
The municipality comprises 106 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the town of San Pablo de Huacareta with 1,524 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northern part of the district. The second largest town in the municipality is Ñacamiri with 406 inhabitants.

The municipality of Huacareta is located in the humid, subandine Chaco of Bolivia on the edge of the southeastern foothills of the Bolivian Cordillera Central .
