Luis Calvo is a province in the southeastern part of the Chuquisaca department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia . The province bears its name in honor of the musician Luis Calvo .

location

The province is one of ten provinces in the Chuquisaca department. It borders in the northwest with the province of Tomina , in the west with the province Hernando Siles , in the south with the department Tarija , in the southeast with the Republic of Paraguay , and in the east and north with the department Santa Cruz .

The province extends roughly between 19 ° 00 'and 21 ° 00' south latitude and 62 ° 11 'and 64 ° 00' west longitude, its extent from west to east is up to 165 kilometers, from north to south up to 225 kilometers .
