Hernando Siles is a province in the eastern part of the Chuquisaca department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
The province bears its name in honor of Hernando Siles Reyes (1882-1942), a Bolivian politician who was president of the country from 1926 to 1930.
location
The province is one of ten provinces in the Chuquisaca department. It borders in the northwest with the province of Tomina , in the west with the province Azurduy , the province Nor Cinti and the province Sud Cinti , in the south with the department Tarija , and in the east with the province Luis Calvo .
The province extends approximately between 19 ° 28 'and 21 ° 00' south latitude and 63 ° 47 'and 64 ° 20' west longitude, its extent from west to east is 45 kilometers, from north to south 165 kilometers.
