Ñancorainza is a town in the Chuquisaca department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Ñancorainza is the central place of the canton Ñancorainza in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Macharetí in the province of Luis Calvo . The village is located at an altitude of 727 m a few kilometers east of the Voranden chain of Serranía Aguaragüe , which runs from Boyuibe in the north via Villamontes to Yacuiba in the south and reaches heights of up to 1200 m at Ñancorainza. The town of Ñancorainza consists of two districts, the main town Ñancorainza with 306 inhabitants and Ñancorainza Estación with 186 inhabitants ( 2012 ).

Ñancorainza is located in the semi-humid climatic area of the humid tropics on the northwestern edge of the Bolivian Chaco .
The annual average temperature of the region is 23 ° C (see Boyuibe climate diagram), the monthly values fluctuate between just under 17 to 18 ° C in June / July and 26 ° C from November to January. The annual precipitation is 800 mm, the region has a clear dry season from May to October with monthly values of mostly well below 40 mm, in the wet season from December to March monthly values of 110 to 160 mm are reached.
Transport network
Ñancorainza is located at a distance of 545 kilometers by road southeast of Sucre , the capital of the Chuquisaca department.
Sucre from the 976 km long leads highway Ruta 6 on Zudañez , Padilla , Monteagudo , Lagunillas and Camiri to Boyuibe . Here the Ruta 6 crosses the 1,631-kilometer Ruta 9 from Guayaramerin on the Brazilian border via Santa Cruz to Yacuiba on the Argentine border. From Boyuibe it is 30 kilometers south to Ñancorainza .
The railway line from Santa Cruz to Yacuiba runs through Ñancorainza and has a stop in Ñancorainza. From here there are passenger train connections to the north and south, which take passengers to Santa Cruz in about eleven and a half hours and to Yacuiba in five hours.

Due to the historical distribution of the population, the region has a certain proportion of Guaraní population, in the municipality of Macharetí 19.2 percent of the population speak the Guaraní language .
