Santa Rosa de Cuevo is a town in the Chuquisaca department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Santa Rosa de Cuevo is the central place of the canton Santa Rosa in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Huacaya in the province Luis Calvo . The village is located at an altitude of 1070 m on a tributary to the Río Cuevo , which passes the village four kilometers further north at Cuevo and seeps away about 120 km further east into the Municipio Boyuibe .

Santa Rosa de Cuevo is located in the humid subtropics between the mountainous region of the Cordillera de Tajsara o Tarachaca in the west and the Bolivian Chaco in the east.

Sucre from the 976 km long leads highway Ruta 6 on Zudañez , Padilla , Monteagudo , Lagunillas and Camiri to Boyuibe. Twenty kilometers before Boyuibe, just before the village of Ibicuati , a dirt road branches off from Ruta 6 in a south-westerly direction, which reaches Cuevo after fifteen kilometers, and Santa Rosa de Cuevo is another four kilometers further south.

Due to the historically grown population distribution, the region has a significant proportion of Guaraní population, in the municipality of Huacaya 48.6 percent of the population speak the Guaraní language .
